At CANDLE, our mission is to make the lives of youth in our community better by minimizing some of the factors that contribute to problematic drug and alcohol use. It is our belief that if you give children the support, skills, and safety they need now, that it will improve all our tomorrows.
CANDLE Programs Increase

- healthy communication skills
Youth with these skills are far less likely to self medicate with alcohol and other substances because they will have other options for dealing with their feelings.
$1000 – covers the cost for one family to participate in a 10-week Strengthening Families program
$500 – covers the cost of 2 months of life saving LGBTQ+ youth pride groups (TRUST, GLOW, Trans youth group)
$300 – covers the full cost of one youth’s participation in Common Threads, a life affirming LGBTQ+ weekend retreat
$150 – covers the cost of 3 individual counseling sessions for one family member (youth or adult)
$100 – covers the cost of one trans youth group
$75 – covers the cost of a child’s attendance in a 10-week social emotional learning group
$50 – covers the cost of an in-person space for one LGBTQ+ youth group
$25 – covers the cost of snacks for a 10-week social emotional learning program
